Our container yard this spring will hold some outstanding varieties that will be sure to please. Starting with the our Specimen Japanese Maples. Nothing makes a statement like a Japanese Maple in your yard. We have 12 varieties that won't disappoint! From the graceful weeping habit of the Ever Red to the variegated foliage of the Butterfly, we have the Japanese Maples of your dreams!
We have also extended our line of unique evergreens to include 20 varieties of False Cypress, Spruce, Hemlock and Douglas Fir. These are not just your run-of-the-mill "christmas tree" looking evergreens! Words can't describe the beauty and grace that they will add to your landscape. A NURSERY THAT IS PROUD OF ITS "ROOTS"Turnbull Nursery Garden Center has been a part of the Western New York growing industry since the late 1800's. A family owned and operated business, Turnbull Nursery is now run by the third and fourth generation Turnbull (with the fifth generation already taking a great interest!)
Primarily a wholesale grower of quality horticulture products such as shade and flowering trees, small fruits and ornamental shrubs and vines, we opened a retail garden center in 1991. We provide a general line of landscape plants with the same high quality as our wholesale division. In fact, many of our goods sold are grown in our fields in the Town of Brant, Erie County, WNY.
We believe our Garden Center is unique because we can offer the public something that very few, if any, other garden center can......Bareroot plants. Bareroot planting is the way our fathers before us did it and it is how the wholesale nursery industry still does it! It is easy to handle and economical. All the plants within our gardens can be purchased at our Garden Center, whether it be in bareroot, container or balled. As with all our material, it is northern grown. If not directly from our own fields, from other northern nurseries which have seen a "Buffalo winter".
Please stop in and enjoy our gardens. In the spring, free coffee and homemade cookies will be served on the weekends.
